.....Who in their right fucking minds wants Chelsea to win though? Man U have been outstanding all season, and I've finally understood why Fergie is such a great manager.

Because it's man u. Because they beat roma. Because David was so complacent. Becaause Alan Smith is better than the entire leeds playing staff.

Me, just to prove that Chelsea have been better. The league doesn't lie. And neither does the fact they have already won a trophy and can still win everything they have entered. An "Outstanding" season thus far is pointless if you choke. Man Utd should have wrapped it up ages ago but they never, because in al reality, they aren't the special team they are made out to be.

Chelsea have been playing the football of champions. Fancy football doesnt always win titles. Look when Arsenal won it by grinding out 1 nil wins. Man U fans are hung up on this whole "oh Chelsea bought success blah blah blah" when in reality Chelsea have been a club with a relativley good history which has been on the rise since the mid 90s, by buying some free or very cheap good players. The standard of Chelseas football has been on the rise since then not just by the takeover by Abramovich. If money buys success then whats the crack with West Ham? It obviously isnt the be all and end all.

I still think Man U will win the league. They should be too good going forward for Everton, Man City and West Ham. And I fancy them to take at least a point at Stamford Bridge. Plus, Chelsea have a tougher run in. Chelsea are going all out for the Champions league. The Premiership's the one Fergie really wants. The only problem is the massive injury list. Blair, I bet you £20 man u win the league.
PS. Celtic could win the SPL today which is more important to me anyways. I'm glad the blue noses won yesterday so we can win it for ourselves.

Yes i'll take that £20 bet mate. Cetic's title was gift wrapped already mate. I'm just glad they are another poor team not much better than the others. Roll on next season.

Got to agree with you there Blair. All in all it's been a great season for a below-par team though. Last 16 of the Champions league is definitely punching above their weight. Strachan will have lots of work to do in the summer but not half as much as Walter Smith. They should bring super Ally back. He looks like he's desperate for a game, sitting on the bench with his shorts on. And I think I could get a game before Sebo.

Was it Jose Mourinho who said that if Joe Cole tries doing tricks on the pitch again , tyring to entertain the crowds, he would sack him, despite Chelsea already being 3-0 up? If thats the kind of mentality you want to see Blair, fair enough. What a fucking joyless existence.
What you've said...its like saying watching Man Utd beating Lille 1-0 in a scrappy game with a controversial free kick was better that watching Man Utd beating Roma 7-1. If you think that, honestly Blair, youre...just...bizarre.

The one- nil grinded out wins can be as satisfying. When you passionatly follow a team you understand this. Without being funny how many of you attend your teams games?

The one- nil grinded out wins can be as satisfying. When you passionatly follow a team you understand this. I agree completely. And what Mourinho actuallly said was that Joe Cole was too keen to showboat and felt that his game was complete after he'd scored and was playing for himself rather than his team. From watching his recent performances (which have been few and far between) Cole seems to agree too, he's a much more complete player now and seems more of a team player. His performance when he came on against Valencia was fantastic. You can say a lot about Mourinho but he's certainly not boring and he's really brought on players like J.Cole, Drogba and Essien. I'd rather see a player give 100% then concentrate on doing stepovers and fancy tricks.

I've seen Man Utd. play once when I was about 12. I'd make excuses ie. it's too expensive, I work Saturdays etc. but it's pointless. I like to see them do well and enjoy watching them as as often as I can. Therefore, I regard myself as a fan.
Good day for me all round. Celtic are eventually crowned champions and Chelsea blow their chance to cut the gap. They hardly looked like they wanted to win.

So does a draw at Newcastle mean Chelsea have lost there bottle too?
The League is the best judge, so lets wait till its finished aye. ManU and Chelsea are two very different teams, but both have the potential to be greta teams. Man U entertain, its our way. Chelsea grind out results, thats there way. I know what id rather watch, doesnt take away from Chelsea.
Basically, both teams missed opportunities, its tight and tense and someone if not both teams will drop points again.
The Stamford bridge game is HUGE! Just hope Rio and Neville are back, beacuse we have one makeshift defense at the mo.

The 7-1 game in Roma was one of the most exciting games I've ever seen, and I was there when Jimmy Glass scored to keep Carlisle in the league. I think I've started to love Man U a little bit. And David deserves props for being so confident at the start of the season.
Ok, do you think both Chelsea and Man U would be great teams if they lost Drogba and Ronaldo? Who would you fancy for the title if that was the case?

I wouldn't call the 7-1 game exciting.
The exciting game that night was played in Valencia.

Why wasn't it exciting? Both Carrick's and Ronaldo's goals were excellent, and the pleasure with which Man U played that night was palpable.
