not that I'm saying you should have but so far there hasn't been a review that's negative in the slightest. everyone seems to love the releases. which is great.

Yeah, so far we've been very fortunate!
Skoud got one review that wasnt so into him, but ends up "converted" to electronica, and we had two with negative points. One didnt like our name, one didnt like our song titles, outside of that rave reviews lol

For some reason I can't reply to the Let Airplanes review thread.
Pretty fucking funny seeing your band reviewed along side Acid Mothers Temple.
And getting compared to Comets on Fire.
Amazing.

That new ctrlaltedelte review is in French. I decided to translate it like i translated my GCSE french coursework. on babelfish
CTRLALTDELETE is a British group originating in Carlisle and composed of 3 members: Ben Maxwell (guitar), Laura Harrison (low) and Simon Papaleo (battery). Formed in 2001, the trio left a first EP, ` epOne' the following year, pressed with 300 specimens. Vis-a-vis with their growing success, in particular apparently because of very good scenic services, this first maximum will be very quickly past. The group thus leaves today ambitious new 4 titles, ` Mondegreens', under the label of Carlisle Motivesounds Recordings, whose artwork of the exits, very neat, seems here to act as good taste. And with regard to Ctrlaltdelete, of the good taste they have some. Still a trio which launches out in the Post-Rock'n'roll, without words. One knows at which point the task difficult and is often dedicated to the failure, except some references which knew to draw their pin from the play (in particular Mogwai, to which one could find some similarities to them). As much to say immediately that the work of the trio was accomplished of hand of Master. One realizes instantaneously that the listening of ` Mondegreens' will be neither long nor tedious. The titles are connected with much spontaneousness and the song proves indeed useless the instruments so much present and are used as well as possible. The advantage of the exercise is that the listener can interpret each title as it hears it, with for only influence the statement of the songs. ` Each Of These Innocent One The Street Is Engulfed By A Terror Of Their Own Ordinariness', title as long as excellent elegantly combines delicate arpeggios and mad refrains, and its side noisy reminds us with pleasure good old days of Wrinkle, time ` Nowhere'. This skill in the melodies and the change of environments is without question the strong point of the group which, in a style where the formations of all levels are hustled, is made small in top of the batch. A trio to which one wishes a future with the height of their talent: shining. Advised titles: Each Of These Innocent One The Street Is Engulfed By A Terror Of Their Own Ordinariness, All Our Greatest Memories Are In Sepia

Heres the translation, again through babel fish, then edited by me, then sent back to the reviewer for a few tweaks. He used to live in Ireland.
Formed in 2001, the trio released their first EP entitled ` epOne' the following year. The 300 copies pressed sold very quickly, due to their growing success, resulting from their well received live perfomances. The group released then this ambitious new 4 track ep, 'Mondegreens', under the Carlisle-based label Motivesounds Recordings, whose very neat artwork on most of their releases is an obvious sign of good taste.
And 'good taste' is a term that can be easily applied to Ctrlaltdelete. Another Post-Rock band. No lyrics. It's quite a difficult task and many failed to succeed in such an enterprise, except for some exceptions who have found their trademark (in particular Mogwai, to which we could find some similarities with ctrlaltdelete).
Let's acknowledge that the band accomplished their work with talent. One realizes instantaneously that listening to 'Mondegreens' will be neither long nor tedious. The titles are connected with much spontaneity, and the absence of singing does not prove to be a problem as the instruments offer so much presence, and are used as well as can be. The advantage of the exercise is that the listener can interpret each title as he/she hears it, the only influence being the statement of the songs titles. 'Each Of These Innocent One The Street Is Engulfed By A Terror Of Their Own Ordinariness', a title as long as the song is excellent, elegantly combines delicate arpeggios and mad refrains, and its noisy side reminds us with pleasure of the good old days of the Oxford band Ride during their ` Nowhere' era. This skill in the melodies and sudden changes of atmosphere is undoubtedly the main asset of the band who, in a style where the formations of all levels are hustling, finds itself a room among the most promising groups of the genre. A trio to whom we wish a future equal to their talent: shining!

I just found some rather amusing articles online concerning Let Airplanes This is probably the shortest and funniest review ever:
"I’d have to say that at certain times I can be quite churlish and petty and my assumption that I’d never again enjoy a record squarely placed in the “post-rock” encampment might be coming back to bite me on the arse if there are more bands of Let the Airplanes Circle Overhead’s calibre lurking in the undergrowth."
also on last.fm (i assume thats a radio station) we were the nineteenth most listened to band of the week (about two weeks ago) above the arctic monkeys, but well, well below Big Black. which is generally a good sign. and how the hell they gotta hold of casio i will never, ever know.

Best review yet!
"Whenever I listen to an instrumental track, I always assume that the clue is in the title. Consequently, since I have no idea what a pengatross is, I have no idea what this song is about."
And also,
"'I Laughed Until I Stopped Laughing' can be summed by my response to it: I laughed until it stopped."
And finally,
"To me, it was just noise."
Beautiful.

Dont worry chaps, Systems & Drafts and mondegreens were both savaged by that site too. its healthy to have some bad reviews to allow you to appreciate the good ones more keenly.

Could you put some of his metaphors on the Japanese sleeve? They would have no clue what it meant, but it would be funny.
