Cheers for mentioning this Mark...it is much appreciated. Just thought I'd add a bit about who the Sonic Monkeys are: We're not a band but just a bunch of music loving people in Carlisle who aim to put on some rocking gigs at the Brickyard (mainly punky but also covering metal, indie, alternative) for a good price. We have a 14+ license so were looking to attract a varied crowd. We would be really chuffed if you could support us by adding us and then coming down to one of our gigs. Our first one is on Monday November 6th. I have seen all three bands and they are awesome! We don't expect to even make back the money we put into this as it's all about putting on the music, not a profit thing but we would love it if you could come along and bring many friends as we plan to put on more bands in the future such as Uk Subs, 4ft Fingers and maybe some bands that might not usually play Carlisle (Sonic Boom Six, Billy Talent, Flogging Molly....fingers crossed). Please add us to myspace if you want to support us or know about future gigs www.myspace.com/sonicmonkeysCheers, Sat

Captain Everything, The Mercury League, Jesse James etc would be class in Carlisle but it depends if there's the crowd for it. I've been to busy punk gigs in Whitehaven and Barrow but when bands like Avoid One Thing, Adequate 7, No Comply n 5ive Knuckle have played Carlisle the attendance was poor...
if Floggin Molly played I would probably start drinking now :-D Billy Talent would be more used to playing sands centre sized venues in the UK
but yeah kudos to trying something new and I shall certainly be there monday

Do pensioners get discounts? I will try and make this. When you see how many punk/hardcore, etc. gigs take place in S.Wales and the likes it's strangely quiet here.

Capdown would be nice. Maybe get the Splitters up. Sure they'd be up for a Carlisle trip. MMMMM, trying to remember my youth. Or, should i say 2 years ago.
