£5 for a DJ set at the Brickyard seems a bit steep. But it should get a good turn out anyway, all those kids gotta go some where. Good luck

wonder how much Olio would have to charge extra per ticket if they got a live set from The Futureheads

Id rather pay £5 for Olio than £3 to go down Botchergate or Concrete. Rather than people being negative, is not a good thing 2 of the Futureheads are over? I know theyve been dropped, but people always complain about Bands & Djs not coming, then when they arrive its too much. If its a good night, then maybe more Olio Dj sets will happen. Maybe the Futureheads will come play the Brickyard. That would make me smile, A LOT!

I wasnt being negative, I was asking how much realisticly a ticket would cost to see Futureheads play live as opposed to playing CDs :-)

That wasnt really aimed at you Jamie. Just heard that peeps had been complaining about the £5 entry. Really aimed at them. ;D

a handful of people have complained about us charging for olio, they're mainly just the real young ones though who can't get a paper round yet. but it's these few people who seem to stand out and grit our shit from literally the hundreds that do enjoy and praise olio. it would be good if we could pack the place, it leaves a good impression for when the futureheads tour again. they're currently recording the name album so a tour is imminent

5quid for a rammed indie night with cheap drinks is a bargain regardless of guest or resident DJs, i mean in Reading my brother is near an indie night at 7quid entry with expensive drinks. even other indie nights in this area arent free in with resident DJs
ill be there if my hangover after Municipal Waste the night before isnt too bad heh
wonder what stuff futureheads would play? i would hazard a guess at obscure 80s post punk kind of stuff but we'll see!
got any other guest DJ sets lined up? :-)

Mark is going for an operation that will turn him into David Hasselgoth.

Maybe a viewing of the impending operation could be included in the Olio ticket price. Surely the people couldnt complain about value then.
