If the couple of times I've been there are anything to go by, you'll end up playing to the barstaff and maybe 3 other people who got lost and wandered in.

electric salad often gets decent turnout, and if proper signed bands play then it could take off

We played there with stars of track and field when it was still Basement. If I remember correctly, it got a really good turn out. Much better size for local bands than the brickyard.

I look forward to more gigs at different places in Carlisle. The Brickyard often seems very empty because its so tall.

The Brickyard often seems very empty because it is very empty.
Seems not enough people want to go to the one venue we do have. If there was more, I doubt The Brickyard would be able to survive in its present form without more support from local live music fans.
