What do people think of the new Shins album? I'm loving it. Could well be their best yet. Going to see them in Glasgow next month too. Woohoo!
We've pissed on far too many sprites, and they're all standing up for their rights. Lovely

Not sure. Their first was good, when they were writing good songs without any confidence. 3 or 4 good tracks.

I know what you mean. There was a certain breeziness to the first album. They seem to be brimming with confidence on the new one and only occasionally do they become over-confident. A whole album's worth of James Mercer's wordy lyrics is quite a lot to take in in one sitting. I think it's well worth the patience, though. When you say 3 or 4 songs are good, David, which ones do you mean? Let me guess...sleeping lessons, australia, phantom limb and turn on me? All brilliant
