*THIS IS THE RESCHEDULED GIG*
What a night we have in store for you lot now!!
The Omnibus Presents.....
The Omnibus featuring,
The Fratellis www.thefratellis.com
....So, Mince was a stoner, Barry was a car thief and Jon was just a Jon. Through their mutal love of strange fruit they gathered to create the happilyest of sounds. Where stovable loners meet frustrated aristocratic nymphs. where shoefetishists, will go to the gang fight and where Stacie Anne meets the Budhill boys in the back seat. Didn't the boy done good. 'MON THE FRATELLIS!
Figure 5 www.figure5.co.uk
Figure 5 have a unique sound which blends the modern pop sensibilities of The Coral and Kaiser Chiefs with the sex-punk attitudes of Billy Childish and 60's garage psyche. These guys are edgy & arty without being pretentious, catchy enough to get attention and smart enough to keep it. Figure 5 have gained a loyal following around Glasgow and have wowed crowds across the U.K, including gigs in London, Manchester and Liverpool.
Rosemary www.rosemarymusic.com
The world of Rosemary is shrouded in secrecy; there is no official biography, they’ve sought no press, taken very few photos and only recently been forced to set up this website out of necessity. These lads, Tim Hill (Vocals & Bass), Martin Brett (Vocals & Guitar) and Jon Chamberlain (Drums) are a little bit special – with their music that is – everything else comes somewhere between secondary and irrelevance for them.
Categorising their style causes more unrest, for the band and journalists alike. Tender melodies of beauty and vision in songs such as ‘So, Tell Me What Troubles You?’ or ‘Benjamin’s Ego’ contrast with urban restlessness in the likes of ‘Turning Blue’ and ‘Off The Tracks’. Their classic, yet modern song writing and harmonies give the trio a new feel and an exciting edge. However, one thing remains abundantly clear, and that is their overwhelming sense of ‘Englishness’ - comparable to that of the The Jam, Joy Division or the Kinks – but Rosemary are a band for now; a band for England.
Having already played with the likes of The Others, Dogs, Cherubs, the Long Blondes, New Rhodes, and the Mardous, 2005 has seen Rosemary championed by John Kennedy of Xfm with both the bands’ EPs (Black & White) and their live performances receiving airplay and glowing reviews. As their reputation continues to grow, the latter half of 2005 is shaping up to be a very interesting and exciting time for the band.
Without any promotion and simply equipped with an arsenal of quality material, a buzz is beginning to emerge… and Rosemary are comfortably sailing the wave.
